ஏறுமயி லேறிவிளை யாடுமுகம் ஒன்றே

ஈசருடன் ஞானமொழி பேசுமுகம் ஒன்றே
கூறுமடி யார்கள்வினை தீர்க்குமுகம் ஒன்றே

குன்றுருவ வேல்வாங்கி நின்றமுகம் ஒன்றே
மாறுபடு சூரரை வதைத்தமுகம் ஒன்றே

வள்ளியை மணம்புணர வந்தமுகம் ஒன்றே
ஆறுமுக மானபொருள் நீயருளல் வேண்டும்

ஆதியரு ணாசலம் அமர்ந்த பெருமாளே!

ஆறுமுகப் பெருமாளே!
(பராக்ரமுள்ள, அழகிய தோகைகளையுடைய) ஆண் மயில் மீது ஏறி திருவிளையாடல் செய்யும் திருமுகம் ஒன்று.
சிவபெருமானுக்கு ஞான உபதேசம் போதிக்கும் திருமுகம் ஒன்று.
உன் புகழைக் கூறும் (அவர்கள் குறைகளைக் கூறும்) அடியார்களின் இரு வினைகளையும் தீர்க்கும் திருமுகம் ஒன்று.
கிரெளஞ்ச மலையை ஊடுருவிச் செல்லும்படி வேலை ஏவிநின்ற திருமுகம் ஒன்று.
பகைவர்களான அசுரர்களை வதைத்து அழித்த திருமுகம் ஒன்று.
வள்ளியைத் திருமணம் செய்து கொள்வதற்காக வந்த திருமுகம் ஒன்று.
(நான் இங்ஙனமாக அறிகிறேன். ஆனால்) நீ ஆறு திருமுகங்களைக் கொண்டதன் ரகசியப் பொருளை இன்னதென எனக்கு அருள் புரிய வேண்டும்.
தொன்மை வாய்ந்த திருவண்ணாமலையில் வீற்றிருக்கும் பெருமாளே..

O Lord Shanmukha!
Mounted on the (fiery and beautiful plumed) male-Peacock, Your one Face does Divine Sports (Lilas).
One Face of Yours imparts Spiritual Wisdom to Lord Siva.
One Face of Yours removes the Karmas of those Devotees who sing Thy praises (and represent their problems).
One of Your Faces threw the Mighty Vel as to cleave the (Asura in the form of the) Krowncha Mountain.
One of Your Faces destroyed the Asuras who rose in battle against You.
One Face of Yours came solely to accept Valli Devi in wedlock.
(This much I know of Your Six Faces; but) Kindly reveal to me the real secret behind Your assuming the Six Faces.

ஆறிரு தடந்தோள் வாழ்க; அறுமுகம் வாழ்க; வெற்பைக்

ஏறிய மஞ்ஞை வாழ்க; யானைதன் அணங்கு வாழ்க;

மாறிலா வள்ளி வாழ்க; வாழ்கசீர் அடியார் எல்லாம்.

ஆறுமுகப்பெருமானின் பன்னிரண்டு அகன்ற பெரிய தோள்கள் வாழ்க; அவருடைய ஆறுமுகங்களும் வாழ்க; கிரௌஞ்ச கிரியைப் பிளந்திடும் ஒப்பற்ற வேல் வாழ்க; சேவற்கொடி வாழ்க; செந்நிறமுள்ள முருகன் அமர்ந்துள்ள மயில் வாழ்க; ஐராவதம் என்னும் யானைக்குரிய தெய்வயானை அம்மையார் வாழ்க; மாறுபாடு இல்லாத வள்ளி நாயகியார் வாழ்க; சிறப்புடைய முருகன் அடியார்கள் எல்லோரும் வாழ்க.

Salutations to the twelve broad arms of Lord Shanmukha! Salutations to His Six Faces! Salutations to His Incomparable Vel that split the (Krauncha) mountain! Salutations to the Cock (in His banner)! Salutations to the Divine Peacock on which the Lord rides! Salutations to Devi Deivayaanai, fostered by Indra’s Elephant Iraavatam! Salutations to the unchanging Divine Mother Valli Devi! Glory and Prosperity be to all devotees of the Lord!

உருவாய் அருவாய் உளதாய் இலதாய்

மருவாய் மலராய் மணியாய் ஒளியாய்க்

கருவாய் உயிராய் கதியாய் விதியாய்க்

குருவாய் வருவாய் அருள்வாய் குகனே!

உருவம் உள்ளதாயும், உருவம் இல்லாததாயும்; உள்ளனவாயும், இல்லாதனவாயும்; மலராகவும், (அம்மலரிலுள்ள) நறுமணமாகவும்; இரத்தினமாகவும், (அதனின்று எழுகின்ற) ஒளியாகவும்; உடலாகவும், (அதனுள் குடிகொண்டுள்ள) உயிராகவும்; (நாம் ஒழுக வேண்டிய) அற நெறியாகவும், (அதனால் அடையும்) வீடு பேறாகவும்; இவை எல்லாமாயும் குருவாயும் வருகின்ற குகப்பெருமானே, நீ (எல்லோருக்கும்) அருள் புரிவாயாக.

“O Almighty Lord Guha! O Supreme Being, Who comes (as all these which are) with form and without form, as what is and what is not, as flower and (its) fragrance, as gem and (its) radiance, as body and soul (that pervades and animates it), as the rules of righteousness and Moksha (that is attained through them) (i.e., as the means and as the End), and as the Guru! Bestow Thy Grace (on all)."

Saint Arunagirinathar

கந்தர் அநுபூதி பெற்றுக் கந்தர் அநுபூதி சொன்ன

எந்தை அருள் நாடி இருக்குநாள் எந்நாளோ

-- தாயுமானவ சுவாமிகள்

கந்தப்பெருமானுடைய அநுபூதியைப் (மெய்ஞானத்தைப்) பெற்று ‘கந்தர் அநுபூதி’ யை பாடியருளிய எந்தையாகிய அருணகிரிப் பெருமானின் அருளை விரும்பி அதைப் பெரும் நாள் எந்த நாளோ!

“When shall be that blessed day, when I shall seek (and be recipient of) the grace of my (spiritual) father (Saint Arunagiri) who, after ‘experiencing’ Anubhuti or Direct Spiritual Realisation of Lord Skanda, gave (or gifted us with) the work ‘Kandar Anubhuti’?”

அந்தாதி யில்லா இறைவனுக்கு அந்தாதி யன்றுரைத்தும்

நந்தா வகுப்பு அலங்காரம் அவற்கே நனி புனைந்தும்

முந்தா தரவில் அவன் புகழ் பூதியும் முற்றும் சொன்ன

எந்தாய் அருணகிரிநாத என்னை நீ ஏன்றருளே.

முடிவும் முதலும் இல்லாத இறைவனாகிய முருகப் பெருமானுக்கு அன்றைய நாளில் கந்தர் அந்தாதி பாடியருளியும், முருகப் பெருமானின் மிகுந்த புகழைக் கூறுகின்ற திருவகுப்பு மற்றும் கந்தர் அலங்காரத்தையும் அழகுபெற இயற்றியும், முந்திப்பொழிகின்ற அவர் கருணையினால் அவர்மேல் திருப்புகழும் கந்தர் அநுபூதியும் என்று, --- இவ்வாறு முருகன் புகழை முழுமையுமாக பாடியருளிய என்னுடைய தந்தையாகிய அருணகிரிப் பெருமானே! அடியேனாகிய என்னையும் நீர் ஏற்று அருள் புரிவீராக.

"O Arunagirinatha! To the Lord (Murugan) Who has no beginning or end, you gave the work ‘Kandar Anthaathi’ long ago; you also rendered so beautifully the ‘Thiru Vaguppu’ and ‘Kandar Alankaaram’ which describe the immense glory of that Lord; and by His ever-flowing grace, you rendered/composed the ‘Thiruppugazh’ and ‘Kandar Anubhuti’ --- thus you graced us by singing the entire glory of the Lord. O Arunagirnatha! My (spiritual) father, please accept me and bless me."

SAINT ARUNAGIRINATHAR

Saint Arunagirinathar is the author of the famous Tiruppugazh songs, The Kandar Anubhuti, etc. His songs are in praise of Lord Shanmukha, and are highly inspiring. He had direct Darsana of Lord Subrahmanya. Regular and systematic Paaraayana or recitation of these songs is sufficient for the struggling souls to get solace, peace and prosperity.

  "Even if, Muruga, Thy Name once told,
  Your grace descends with Love manifold,
  Let me Thy Name Muruga, Parama Kumara, once repeat,
  And Thy grace to protect shall descend on me."

So prayed Saint Arunagirinathar in his famous, soul-elevating Tiruppugazh songs. Mark the Bhava or feeling which inspired him to utter these verses. The Lord wants only your heart. Give unto Him your heart. Develop immense love to Him. Thirst for His Darsana. You will attain Him.

Follow the footsteps of these saints. Lead a life of simplicity. Have purity. Develop magnanimity. Cultivate nobility. Practise serenity. Draw inspiration from these Bhaktas. Entertain sublime thoughts, cultivate virtues and be kind to all. Become humble. Take refuge in God. Sing God's Names. See His indwelling presence in all. Serve everyone with intense Love. Service is worship. Serve, Love, Give. Taste the Nectar of Immortality and enjoy the highest Peace and Bliss.

May the blessings of Arunagirinathar and other Bhaktas of Shanmukha be upon you all! May the Divine Hand guide you in all your activities! May the Vel guide you to the realm of Peace, Plenty, Prosperity and Enlightenment.

அருளாளர் அருணகிரிநாதர்

முருகப் பெருமானை நேரில் தரிசிக்கும் பாக்கியம் அருளாளர் அருணகிரிநாதருக்குக் கிடைத்தது. அருணகிரிநாத சுவாமிகள் பிரபலமான திருப்புகழ், கந்தர் அனுபூதி போன்ற நூல்களை இயற்றினார். அவருடைய பாடல்கள் முருகப் பெருமானைப் போற்றிப் புகழ்வன; தீவிர ஊக்கமளிப்பவை. ஆறுதல், அமைதி மற்றும் வளமான வாழ்வுபெறப் மிகவும் போராடிக் கொண்டிருப்பவர்கள், இந்தப் பாடல்களைத் தொடர்ந்து பாராயணம் செய்தால் போதும், அவர்கள் நினைத்தது நிறைவேறும்.

“முருகா” என்று உனது பெயரை ஒருமுறை சொன்னாலும், அன்புடன் உனது அருள் பலமடங்காகப் பொழியும். எனவே, ‘முருகா’, ‘பரம குமரா’ என்று உன் பெயரை நான் ஜபம் செய்கிறேன். என்னைக்காக்க உனது அருள் உறுதியாக வந்து சேரும்.”

உயிருக்கு உன்னதநிலையளிக்கும் தனது புகழ்பெற்ற திருப்புகழ் பாடல்களில் அருணகிரிநாதர் மேற்படி பிரார்த்தனை செய்கிறார். இவ்வாறு பாடுவதற்கு அவருக்கு உற்சாகம் தந்த அவரது உணர்ச்சிப் பெருக்கை கவனித்தாயா! இறைவன் வேண்டுவது உன் இதயத்தைத்தான். அதை அவருக்குக் கொடு. இறைவனிடம் பூரண பக்தியை வளரச் செய். இறைவன் தரிசனம் பெற அடங்காத ஆர்வம் கொள். நீ இறைவனை அடைவாய்.

அருணகிரிநாதரைப் போன்ற அருளாளர்களைப் பின்பற்றிச் செல். எளிய வாழ்க்கையைக் கடைப்பிடி. தூய்மையாய் இரு. பெருந்தன்மையை வளரச்செய். தயாளகுணம் உடையவனாக இரு. மன அமைதியுடன் வாழ முயற்சி செய். அருணகிரிநாதரைப் போன்ற பக்தர்களிடமிருந்து ஊக்கமும் உற்சாகமும் பெறு. உயர்ந்த எண்ணங்களையே எண், நற்பண்புகளை வளரச்செய். அனைவரிடத்திலும் அன்புடனும் கருணையுடனும் பழகு. பணிவுடன் இரு. இறைவனிடம் சரணடை. இறைவனைப் போற்றிப் புகழ்ந்து பாடு. அனைவரின் உள்ளத்திலும் இறைவன் குடிகொண்டு இருப்பதைக் காண். ஆழ்ந்த அன்புடன் அனைவருக்கும் தொண்டு செய். தொண்டு என்பது தெய்வ வழிபாடு. தொண்டு செய். அன்பாய் இரு. தான தர்மம் செய். அமரத்துவம் என்னும் அமுதத்தைப் பருகு. நிரந்தர அமைதியையும் ஆனந்தத்தையும் அனுபவிப்பாய்.

அருணகிரிநாதர் மற்றும் சண்முகப் பெருமானின் மற்ற பக்தர்களின் அருளாசி உங்கள் அனைவருக்கும் கிடைக்கட்டும்! உங்களது செயல்கள் அனைத்திலும் இறைவன் உங்களுக்கு வழிகாட்டட்டும்! அமைதி, மனநிறைவு, நிறைவான வளம், மற்றும் ஞானத் தெளிவு ஆகியவை நிறைந்திருக்கும் சாம்ராஜ்யத்துக்கு முருகப் பெருமான் கையிலிருக்கும் வேல் உங்களை வழிநடத்திச் செல்லட்டும்.
